Erectile dysfunction medications seized in Glengormley

Large amounts of unlicensed medications have been taken by Department of throughout a search of a house in Glengormley.

A male was interviewed by department officers about unlawfully importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medications through the internet.

The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offenses.

He will now be the subject of a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The search was brought out by the department's Medicines Regulatory Group.

Its senior enforcement workplace, Peter Moore, stated: "It is crucial that we get the message across that unlicensed medicines can be harmful.

"These types of items being offered, usually online, have actually gone through no quality control and there can be no warranty about their security.

"You simply do not know what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More notably, you do not know the result drugs like this might have on your health."
